Yesterday, we had the privilege of visiting Pilgrims Hospices for a presentation and tour, and what an inspiring experience it was! As many of you know, Pilgrims Hospice is now our chosen charity for 2025, and this visit only reinforced why this partnership is so important to us.
From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed by a team whose passion and dedication to end-of-life care was evident in everything they do. Pilgrims Hospice provides outstanding support to individuals facing terminal illness and their families, ensuring that comfort, dignity, and compassion are at the heart of every service they offer. Seeing this firsthand was truly humbling.
We were given an insightful presentation about the work they do – not just in their hospice facilities but also out in the community, providing essential palliative care in people’s homes. It was eye-opening to hear about the challenges they face and the incredible lengths they go to in order to provide comfort and support when it’s needed most. Walking through the hospice, we were struck by how warm and welcoming the environment is.
Far from being a clinical setting, it felt like a place of peace, where families can make the most of their time together and where patients receive care tailored to their wishes. As a home care provider, we understand how important it is to give people the right support at every stage of life. This visit reaffirmed our commitment to working closely with Pilgrims Hospice throughout 2025, not only through fundraising efforts but also by looking at ways we can support them with our expertise and resources.
